Harvard University is the oldest university in the USA. It is not only the university it is US tradition. It is the only US university which gained such popularity I the world. Harvard University is private educational establishment, which is situated in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This university is member of Ivy League, the union of the best universities in the USA.
The motto of Harvard University is “Veritas” which is translated from the Latin as “Truth”. Don’t you think that such motto demonstrate a lot about this educational establishment.
Except education according to the highest standards, students at Harvard University have the possibility to have very intensive and active student life. The sports life is full of different possibilities. Harvard University has several sports facilities, which permit to practice different kinds of sports. At Harvard University, there is football team and basketball team. Athletes from Harvard University and Yale University are constant rivals. The football match between these teams is called The Game. It is rather old tradition. Older sports competition between Harvard and Yale is the Harvard-Yale Regatta. It is carried out every year in June.
It is important o mention that both men and women have possibilities to develop their sportive skills. In general, the ration between male students and female students is 50/50.
