Harvard University – the Admission and Campuses
Posted by: admin in Advantages of Attending HarvardSpeaking about the admission of the Harvard University it should be mentioned that each year the amount of accepted applicants is rapidly increasing. That is why since 2007 the project of not admitting the transferred students was speaking over and in March 2008, it was accepted. The following two years Harvard University is not going to accept the transferred applicants in order the native students of the Harvard University have enough place in the campuses.
The number of campuses within the Harvard University is rather impressing; the main campus is located on Harvard Yard in the center of Cambridge. Business School and the majority of the university athletic facilities, including famous Harvard Stadium, are located in Allston – the opposite side of the Charles River from Harvard Square. Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard School of Public Health are centered in Boston, in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area.
Harvard Yard is the concentration of administrative offices and main libraries of the university, different academic buildings comprising University Hall and Sever Hall, Memorial Church and the number of the dormitories for the freshmen.
All the other students are living in the twelve Residential Houses in the Yard of Quadrangle.
